ALSEAL Aerospace Coatings
Inorganic ceramic binders allow the ALSEAL line of coatings to endure the extreme temperatures and environments that exist in stationary and aviation gas turbines. The incredible protection and durability of ALSEAL coatings has led to its specification by most major turbine manufacturers.
Basecoats
ALSEAL 5k |
This is the first in a new line of completely chromium free aluminum ceramic coatings to be introduced by CFI. ALSEAL 5k provides sacrificial corrosion protection and heat oxidation protection to temperatures of 1100F while containing no known carcinogens, HAP's, or VOC's. |
ALSEAL 500 |
High temperature coating composition containing aluminum powder in an inorganic binder. Provides sacrificial corrosion protection to temperatures up to 1100F and heat oxidation protection to temperatures as high as 1600F. Can be cured as low as 350F, but can not be used on mild steel substrates. |
ALSEAL 518 |
High temperature coating composition containing aluminum powder in an inorganic binder. Provides sacrificial corrosion protection to temperatures up to 1100F and heat oxidation protection to temperatures as high as 1600F. Must be cured at 400F min., but can be used on all steel substrates. |
ALSEAL 519 |
Formulated to provide smoother surface finishes and higher erosion resistance than ALSEAL 518 while still providing all the corrosion and high-temperature properties. |
| ALSEAL 521 | Alseal 521 utilizes a finer blend of aluminum powders than the Alseal 519, providing an even smoother surface finish. |
ALSEAL 528 |
High temperature coating composition containing zirconium oxide powder in an inorganic binder. Provides protection of ferrous alloys against thermal oxidation and corrosion. ALSEAL 521 can withstand service temperatures in excess of 2000F and is very tolerant to thermal cycling. |
Sealers / Topcoats
ALSEAL 598 |
ALSEAL 598 sealcoat is a high temperature resistant inorganic composition for use over ALSEAL 500, 518, and 519. The purpose of this sealer is to enhance the smoothness of the Alseal basecoats and to extend the long term corrosion protection by retarding the sacrificial consumption of these coatings. Available in multiple colors. |
|
ALSEAL 598SC |
ALSEAL 598SC is a modified version of ALSEAL 598 that was formulated to improve surface finish. It is currently only available in a clear / semi-translucent version. This sealer lowers the surface finish 10 microinches or more when compared to standard ALSEAL 598. |
ALSEAL 590 |
Two component high temperature coating composition containing PTFE. The purpose of this coating is to reduce friction and function as an anti-stick / anti-fouling sealer over ALSEAL 500, 518, and 519. |
Diffusion Aluminides
Alseal 625 |
ALSEAL 625 is a slurry applied diffusion aluminide coating. It is comprised of aluminum and silicon powder in an inorganic binder. The aluminide formed from diffusion into Cobalt or Nickel based alloys provides a very wear resistant and heat oxidation resistant surface. |
ALSEAL 518 |
ALSEAL 518 can also be used as a slurry aluminide coating, but does not have the addition of silicon powder. Therefore, this may be used to form an aluminide where the presence of silicon is undesireable or unnecessary. |
Touch-UP
ALSEAL 505 |
|
|
ALSEAL 610 |
Air-dry inorganic touch-up coating for use over ALSEAL 598 sealcoat. |
Dry film lubricants
alseal 320 |
|
|
alseal 360 |
High temperature coating composition containing a graphite blend in an inorganic binder. This coating will air dry and is used to protect mating parts from seizing and galling at temperatures up to 1200F.
ALSEAL 370 |
High temperature coating composition containing a graphite / molybdenum disulfide blend in an inorganic binder. This coating will air dry and is used to protect mating parts from seizing and galling at temperatures up to 800F.
ALSEAL 590 |
Two component high temperature coating composition containing PTFE. The purpose of this coating is to reduce friction and function as an anti-stick / anti-fouling sealer over ALSEAL 500, 518, and 519. |
